Benjamin Croft leads Ground Zero Development Group as Director of Operations, bringing over 25 years of hands-on experience in residential construction, renovation, and project management. Starting his career swinging a hammer at a young age, Benjamin worked his way through the trades to become a licensed residential contractor, state-certified construction sub-contractor, and superintendent for a Fortune 500 construction firm.

Throughout his career, Benjamin has managed everything from small-scale repair projects to full home renovations, commercial build-outs, and property flips. His expertise has earned him preferred contractor status with national brands such as Hooters of America, Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Floor & Décor, and Mills Pride, where he oversaw up-fit projects, flooring installations, and full-space refreshes. He even contributed his skills on four episodes of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition — a testament to both his craftsmanship and heart for helping others.

With factory certifications from Custom®, Mapei®, Pergo®, and Bruce® Hardwood Floors, Benjamin is highly skilled in flooring, finish work, blueprint interpretation, and full-scope project oversight. His background also extends into real estate, inspection, and valuation, having held licenses as a REALTOR®, Home Inspector, and Residential Appraiser — giving him a unique understanding of how renovations impact property value and buyer perception.
